Stoney Ridge Camp Update: A Season of Growth and Gratitude
There’s been a beautiful buzz of activity here at Stoney Ridge Camp, and we’re excited to share some highlights with our wider community!
We’re currently hosting two incredible female interns who’ve joined us for six months as part of their Project Management course. They’ve taken on some key campsite projects, and their contribution has already been a real blessing. It’s always encouraging to see young leaders growing in confidence and skill, and we’re proud to be part of their journey.
Our hearts are full of gratitude for the many Camps we’ve had over the past few months. It’s been a season of impact, connection, and transformation—and we’re trusting for even more! As we look ahead to June and July, keep us in your continued prayers for additional bookings and opportunities to host groups.
Recently, we had the pleasure of welcoming 60 ECD Mega Teachers from the East Rand for a dynamic team-building experience. Through experiential learning, our team was able to pour into these educators and equip them with tools to take back to their communities. Their energy was contagious, and we’re thrilled they left feeling uplifted and eager to return next year — with an even larger group!
Easter was another highlight as we hosted a vibrant church group of 260 people. It was a powerful time of fellowship, reflection, and community—truly an unforgettable weekend for us all.
Looking ahead, we’re gearing up for our pecan nut harvest in June! It’s always a special time of the year, and we’re excited to see what this season brings. And don’t forget—our campsite bookshop is still open! Whether you’re a guest or just passing by, feel free to stop in for a browse. We’d love to welcome you.
From all of us at Stoney Ridge, thank you for your continued support and remember, if you want to book your next youth camp or event, just reach out on stoneyridgecamp@su.org.za
