Ministry Highlights from SU KZN

Joined by Mission Worker Yolande van Niekerk and dedicated teachers from Hlanganani Primary, the Grade 7 campers enjoyed a fun and impactful programme focused on teamwork, communication, and creativity. Through interactive sessions and team challenges, they learned problem-solving skills and discovered new ways to work together. The programme included Bible study with Reach4Life resources and self-esteem sessions led by Yolande.

Latitude students from Norwegian Settlers Church joined for a one-day DOPE Personality session, helping learners understand their leadership strengths. The camp was full of adventure—from hikes and bonfires to bonding with their leaders—creating memories the students won’t soon forget!

The Grade 3s at Etham College ended their Leader In Me sessions for the term on a colourful and high-energy note!

On May 30th, the learners arrived in bright clothes and big smiles, ready for their final session. SU Mission Partner Iona taught the habit “Put First Things First,” using the example of choosing fun before homework-something the students related to easily! They shared their own stories and learned why it’s important to make good choices. To end things off, SU Mission Enabler Neo led a fun and active game that had everyone laughing and moving. It was the perfect way to close the term.

Please keep the team in your prayers as they prepare for Term 3-continuing to walk alongside the Grade 3s and helping them grow into confident, purpose-filled young leaders. We’re so proud of them and excited for what’s next!
