What a way to kick off the new year! Froggy Girls Camp 2025 was nothing short of AMAZING! From
January 6-10, we had the absolute joy of hosting 95 incredible girls, supported by a leadership team
of 23 dedicated individuals. The energy was electric from the very start! Our leadership team arrived
a day early to soak the space in prayer, ensuring that every space, every activity area, and every
moment to come would be filled with love, joy, and God’s presence. It was also a special time for our
team to bond, laugh, and prepare our hearts for the adventure ahead!
Fun, Sun, and Unforgettable Moments
The camp was packed with non-stop excitement! We played thrilling rotational games, splashed around
during beach time, enjoyed the fresh air at the park, and even took on the famous Penguin Walk at
Boulders Beach! The girls tapped into their creativity during craft time, making beautiful memories
and masterpieces. But most importantly, they had the freedom to just be kids—no chores, no
responsibilities, just pure, unfiltered joy! And oh, the weather? Absolutely perfect! God truly smiled
down on us throughout the week, and His presence was felt in every moment. The way He moved—
not just in the lives of the girls, but within our leaders as well—was nothing short of miraculous. The
growth we witnessed was breathtaking!
What added more fun and excitement to camp was other visitors, namely a troop of baboons! Some
of the girls were super scared, while others were overjoyed to see them. I must say, the leadership
team handled themselves very well. Some brave leaders chased them away while others stayed with
the girls and kept the program running smoothly. It was definitely an unexpected adventure that
made camp even more memorable!
A Royal Encounter with Purpose
At every camp, I love adding a little extra sparkle, and this year was no exception! We had the
extraordinary privilege of welcoming Mrs. Universe South Africa 2024 Top 10 Finalist, Gizéla Möller!
She shared her heart with the girls, and let me tell you—the room was silent as they hung onto her
every word. It was a truly powerful and heartfelt moment.
And here’s where it gets even more special—just the day before, during craft time, the girls made
their very own crowns! Talk about divine timing! When Gizéla spoke, each girl proudly wore her
handmade crown, a beautiful reminder of her worth and identity. But that wasn’t all—Gizéla led a
touching ceremony where leaders and campers alike took turns crowning and affirming one another.
It was deeply prophetic, speaking life, confidence, and purpose into each young heart. One moment
that especially stood out to me was when a little girl, who had cried on the first day because she
missed her mom and wanted to go home, was chosen for this affirmation. Watching her go from
uncertain and tearful to radiant and empowered was a true God moment! Later, when I spoke with
her, she was so grateful that she stayed. That is why we do this!
Unexpected Blessings and Pure Joy
Just when the girls thought camp couldn’t get any better, we surprised them with gift boxes from
Santa Shoebox! The looks on their faces were priceless! Many of these girls hadn’t received any
Christmas gifts, so this moment was beyond special. The sheer delight, the laughter, the way they
proudly showed off their treasures—it was pure magic! Seeing their joy made every ounce of
planning, organizing, and hard work completely worthwhile.
A Warm Heart and a Full Spirit
At the end of the day, Froggy Camp isn’t just about the fun (though we have plenty of it!). It’s about
creating a space where these precious girls can realize their worth, value, and divine purpose. It’s
about showing them just how beautifully and intentionally God created them. And that, right there,
is what makes my heart overflow with gratitude. This camp was a blessing beyond words, and I can’t
wait to see what God has in store for the next one!
