Scripture Union Gauteng recently had the pleasure of hosting two dedicated educators from Chile, Makarena and Enrique, who are passionate about children and teen ministry. Their visit aimed to participate in and enhance ministry activities across South Africa.
During their stay, Makarena and Enrique engaged in various SU Gauteng activities. Enrique inspired teen volunteers with sessions grounded in the Word of God, while Makarena shared her personal testimony with the teens. Both played pivotal roles at a holiday club, leading Bible sessions for 211 children. Their journey continued to Eesterus, where they visited St George Methodist Church. Here, in a setting different from Alex, they participated in numerous holiday club activities, making a significant impact on the children.
Their stay also included some sightseeing in Pretoria, with a highlight being a visit to the Union Buildings, where they learned about South Africa’s rich history. Makarena and Enrique’s visit was a blessing, leaving a lasting impression on all who met them and strengthening the connections within our ministry community.
