Mission to Young people

Written by Garland Sam, KZN Regional Director

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” Acts 1:8 Reflecting on Jesus’ words to his disciples here in Acts echoes what he had told them in the Great Commission, every Christian is on a mission. Our mission at SU is to lead young people to know and walk with God. This year we are trusting God for more partnerships with churches and Christian NPOs to ensure there is a sustained Christian witness at Schools across the Province. We will be availing ourselves to communities who have a passion to ‘GO’ to Schools, we aim to equip educators, students, moms, dads and young people themselves to share the gospel that brings transformation in their communities and among their peers. “Mission isn’t the preserve of the professionals – all of us need to be involved” Tim Hastie Smith Not everyone can get practically involved but everyone has a role to support the mission to South Africa’s young people through prayer or financially supporting the ministry. May I encourage you to make it your 2023 mission to be a faithful witness of Christ, especially to this generation of young people as you reflect on this quote by WJ Toms “You may be the only Bible some person ever reads.”  Director
