Scripture Union had the privilege of hosting the Young Entrepreneurship Program (YEP) Training at Stoney Ridge — and what an incredible gathering it was!
With participants representing over eight African countries, the program brought together Scripture Union field workers, partners, and departments who are passionate about shaping the future through innovation and mission-driven entrepreneurship.
Throughout the program, participants presented innovative, mind-blowing business ideas, pitching for both funding and exposure. These sessions showcased not only creativity but also a strong drive to develop sustainable initiatives that can bring transformation within communities across Africa.
We were honored to have several Scripture Union International Board members join us during the week and stay on for the weekend. Their presence added a layer of encouragement and accountability, offering valuable insight as we seek to scale impact across the continent.
Alongside the YEP pitches, Chicks and Phumi had the opportunity to present Scripture Union’s Mission Enabler strategies and Training Hubs. These presentations explored both our vision for Ministry Impact and Growth, as well as the challenges we face in the current landscape and the opportunities ahead.
All in all, it was a week filled with energy, creativity, and deep fellowship, leading to a weekend of inspiration and shared purpose with our global SU family. We are grateful for the opportunity to invest in young leaders and to continue pursuing God’s call to empower the next generation.
