Training

Training is a key tool that empowers what we do at Scripture Union. We are committed to seeing young people grow and realise their full potential as Christ followers on mission. This means that we offer a wide variety of training programmes and workshops to equip an army of servant leaders that will effectively serve the local church and engage the world.

These are the types of training we offer

— Camp Directors Training

This is training to equip participants in the A to Z of directing a camp with SU’s camping values and general camping principles.

— Count Me In

This training serves to train new volunteers, trendsetters and summit teams with SU’s Ethos, Working Principles, Ministry Strategies and Personal Development.

— Children's Ministry Training

This training equips those with a heart and passion for children’s ministry, especially “Sunday School” teachers.

— Resources for Family: How to disciple your kids at home

Christmas seems to be the most prominent holiday in the Christian calendar. But Christmas is nothing without Easter. The gospel story goes from the cradle to the cross. The incredible story of Easter is interwoven with themes of love, betrayal, sacrifice, pride, and surprise. This devotional is a tool for parents to use with their children to connect with the amazing power of Christ’s death and resurrection.

This year our devotional looks at the seven “I am” statement that Jesus makes in the Gospel of John. Each day we will look at a different statement, building towards Sunday: “I am the resurrection and the life”!

—Holiday Club Training

SU Holiday Club training helps enable local church teams to run excellent holiday clubs in their communities.

—Leadership Training

SU’s leadership training initiatives cover a range of leadership empowerment options, including school Learner Representative Council members (Prefects).
