Connect with Independent Schools
Scripture Union Independent Schools (SUIS) is a specialised ministry within Scripture Union South Africa (SU). With the view that many future leaders would come from Private School education in our country, SUIS was founded in 1972 with the vision of coming alongside Chaplains and Heads of the ‘Traditional Independent Schools’ to assist them with making the Christian faith relevant, engaging and impactful to their learners.
School Christian Groups
We enable student leaders of the School Christian Association to lead School Christian Groups in a fun and contextual way. This is a time for students to worship, fellowship, engage with the Word, and much more.
Unity
We host “Unity Meetings” throughout the year where Christian student leaders from the various SCGs come together to build relationships, be equipped, and grow into impactful leaders.
Camping
Camping is an integral part of what we do as SU. Our camps provide a unique opportunity to journey with young people, helping them grow in their faith while surrounded by friends, fun activities, and discipleship.
Missions
Our school missions are amazing ways that we engage on the ground with students in a relevant way. This includes school visits, training, talking at assemblies, and various activities both during and outside school times.
