2018 NewsWe have had a busy and productive year so far at SUIS. We have organised and run holiday camps and worked with school chaplains and staff to run confirmation, SCA and leadership camps.
Our holiday camps have been a wonderful success and many young people have grown in their faith in Jesus as well as making meaningful friendships and having a wonderful time. The camps have also provided campers with the opportunity to reach out to the local community and give joyfully of their time, energy and care. We are gearing up for our Summer Camp from the 11th to the 15th of December for anyone between grades 7 and 12.
Our Unity Leadership Development programme has grown significantly this year, with many doors opening for us to minister to the Christian leaders in more schools. Looking ahead, we have an exciting training workshop, a Unity conference as well as our regular, twice-termly Unity meetings.
We reignited our Summit Team gap year programme this year after a few years without it. We were blessed to have three talented young people join us for six months of ministry and discipleship. In addition, we have revamped the programme for next year and are very excited to meet next year's GAP Year team!
We have developed the strength of our partnerships with several organisations and ministries. Arise Worship has been involved in leading musical worship at many of our events. Most notably is our strengthened partnership with our base campsite ministry, Em'seni Camp. Our shared staff and volunteer team is working together to allow God to change lives through our camp and ministry.
