Creative Interns

SU is an organisation with the vision of ‘leading young people to know and walk God’ but seeks to remain relevant to an audience of young people that live in a rapidly changing context. We must creatively tell a story that is critically important to be told. It is at the heart of what we do. And since it is so important, how we tell it matters a lot. It needs to be engaging. It needs to be clear. And it needs to be communicated in a way that engages a Nation hungry for a story that will impact their lives. We are looking for designers that are seeking to hone their skills as part of our creative design team. As part of this team, you will be responsible for the following things:

Responsibilities:
• Cutting edge design creation that serves a national audience
• Engaging Social media (design & content creation) that tells an exciting story
• Creative web content implementation that informs and inspires
• Descriptive content creation that communicates effectively

Programmes to know that would be helpful:
• Indesign
• Illustrator
• Wordpress
• Mailchimp
• Canva

What type of person:
This is a volunteer position available for 2 design interns (or similar) that will be able to invest time at our head office either full time or part time.

As an intern you will be reporting to the Creative Team that oversees Marketing and Communications.

You will be a key role player in a fast paced team that is involved in all aspects of content creation and implementation for our promotional campaigns, newsletters, website updates, social media updates and regular podcasts and other video platforms. You will not only develop your skills in these areas but you will also develop skill as a leader. You will be responsible for projects with deadlines, work with other members of the SU team and prepare yourself in a way that will set you up for future success. It’s a lot of hard work in a challenging but fun environment, honing skills that will set you up well for the future.

So, what do you say? Our head office is located in Rondebosch, Cape Town and you should be able to travel to and from our office.
Please note that we are a Christian organization and as such all our content will be aimed at a Christian audience.
