By the time you read this I’m sure it’s less than 75 days to 2019. This year has been a wonderful year of transition for SUKZN; with the merging of Pietermaritzburg and Durban we were able to weather the storm of the effects of the higher costs of living and increased VAT and fuel price on our donations. As you are aware we as Scripture Union rely solely on donations to keep sharing the message of HOPE found in Jesus Christ and to build communities through our social youth development programmes.
As at the end of our financial year, we have reached 17 456 young people in KZN. These are children and youth from Urban and Rural areas in the Province. These young people had the opportunity to either hear the gospel for the first time or receive spiritual input through bible engagement.
This was achieved through our camps, holiday clubs, weekly School Christian Groups, Sport Coaching sessions, our youth centres or through our lifeskills programmes at schools.
My request to you is two-fold; one, that you keep SUKZN in your prayers as we continue partnering with local churches and community based organisations in Leading young people to know and walk with God. Secondly, that you consider supporting us through your giving either as a once-off donation or a monthly partner to ensure we can continue seeing young lives transformed by Jesus Christ and filled with HOPE.
