What’s the God I’m supposed to be praying to like? Here’s a word: Pure.
When we pray we’re connecting to someone in whom there is no darkness or any kind of the junk -untrustworthiness, neglect, selfishness or hidden motives – that we see so much of in our own relationships.
‘God is light; in him there is no darkness at all.’ (1 John 1v5)
Purity is about being open and transparent. God loves to share what’s on his heart with us too.
God ‘confides in those who fear him’ (Psalm 25v14).
What an amazing thought! With God there is nothing we need to hide (as if we could!)
How can that thought help you pray today?
