Malala Yousafzai was 11 when she began writing letters to newspapers highlighting her and other girls’ struggle to access education. She was 15 when the Taliban shot her in the head for standing up to thems. At 17 she is the youngest recipient of the Nobel peace prize.
Here’s a quote from her book ‘I am Malala’: ‘I told myself, Malala, you have already faced death. This is your second life. Don’t be afraid… if you are afraid, you can’t move forward.’
Jesus kept telling people not to be afraid too (like in Matthew 14v27 http://bit.ly/1pKEzju).
Is there something that’s wrong in this world that you’d like to change but you’re too afraid (or lazy!) to do something about it?
How can Malala’s example and Jesus’ instruction help you get going?
